ugh my roommate did that the other day. I asked her if she could please remove her dirty laundry basket from the hallway and keep it in her room or closet or something, and she goes, "why? does it bother you?"
And I'm like YES, WHY ELSE WOULD I ASK YOU TO MOVE IT.
Her: "why does it bother you?"
uh.....idk, maybe 'cause your dirty underwear is sitting in front of the door to my room....?

...obviously I said this with less capslock and sarcasm.
