My best friend in real life is white-passing Latina & she gets discriminated against (once people hear her name).

not OP but you sound like you're missing the point. OP didn't claim that white-passing Latino people aren't discriminated against ever, just not in the same way. You're not really going to claim that darker colored people don't actually face any more shit than light-skinned people, are you?

NAYRT but I have seen a LOT of shit thrown at white-passing POC by people of their same ethnicity. I can guarantee it's probably not on par with general racism, but it's still fucking ridiculous bullshit for them to get slammed from BOTH sides.

You don't think "why did they have to make them light skinned latinos..." has a bit of a off flavour to it? Like, "How dare you not get discriminated against enough compared to me!"
