Uh, to keep on topic. If I enjoy the Tamora Pierce 'Tortall' books, what else do you suggest reading?

The Black Unicorn by Tanith Lee. It's the first in a trilogy, but I haven't read the other two so I can't recommend them but I read this one over and over at the same time I was into Tamora Pierce.
