I hate to say the obvious answer, but if you liked Yuri on Ice, have you seen Free yet? I'd say it's more slice of life than Yuri on Ice (which is a little more... olympia, than a true slice of life imo but anyway) and treats its sport with the same artistic love. Plus, the BL element is there (though obviously not canon).

But otherwise, there are a lot of fun sports anime out there.

Thanks! I admit I started the first episode of FREE! but it didn't grab me so I haven't gone back to watch the rest of it. I should probably give it at least a 2-episode try, huh? :)

Try with skipping forward to episode 7; the middle bits are pure fluff, but it's fantastic when the plot kicks in.
