I'll agree that sometimes the longer hair can look rather greasy*, and yes, in terms of realism for appearance standards in the Bureau, the longer hair wouldn't fly.

But I love the longer, messier hair anyway. It fits more with his eccentric/quirky character and look as as a whole. That, and with the way his hair was styled in seasons 3 and 5 especially, I thought it made him look quite sexy.

I do like his short hair, too, though, especially if it's still got some fluffiness to it and there's still enough to frame his face. But if it's as short and tidy as it was in season 6, then he just doesn't look quite...Reid-like to me. Again, the messy hair just really adds to his character, I think.

*(Course, the greasy look could make sense given the fact that considering how long these guys can sometimes be away on a case and how busy they can be, they may not always be able to wash their hair on a regular basis, so...:p.)

Course, the greasy look could make sense given the fact that considering how long these guys can sometimes be away on a case and how busy they can be, they may not always be able to wash their hair on a regular basis, so.

But then it wouldn't make sense for the whole greasy hair look to affect only Reid and not anyone else on the team. Particularly the women, who have longer hair than he does.

LOL, I thought about that after I posted that comment :p. I was mainly just kidding with that part of the comment anyway, but even so...yeah, I think Reid just isn't as fussed about tending to his hair the way the others are for the most part :D.
