You mean she didn't know who Debbie Reynolds was or she didn't know that she was Carrie Fisher's mother? I've known who Debbie Reynolds is for years but I had no idea they were related until after their deaths.

I thought I was the only one! I seriously had no idea but everyone else seemed to have always known. I felt like alienatended and like because I didn't know this major thing about them that I wasn't allowed to be sad about their deaths.

I knew, but I could see why people wouldn't.

I had no idea until just recently that Jayne Mansfield was Mariska Hargitay's mom, although I think there have been far fewer opportunities to draw that connection, given Mansfield died 50 years ago.
