I just don't know what to do. I live with someone with misophonia. Lately I announce that I'm making a sandwich as I'm going into the kitchen, he says something like 'ok' from his computer desk, I announce as I'm coming out with my sandwich, he says ok, I sit down. I start eating. He startles, gets angry, slams his headphones on and sulks for a while because chewing sounds trigger his misophonia.

I finally confronted him about it and he said he didn't pay attention when I said I was getting food so he never remembered me warning him multiple times I was about to eat.

Other than going over and shoving his headphones on myself I don't know what else I can do, but I'm tired of him getting angry at me because he doesn't pay attention when I warn him.
