I'm the same- I ship the characters I love with other characters. Can't really fantasize too much about actors I love as it ends up just making me a little sad.

Having said that I'm happy being single. If I meet someone, awesome, if not, awesome too.

I don't really have actors I love and idk if I'd fantasize about them if I did. :|a

Shipping is the best.

I wish I had your outlook! I mean, I'm not unhappy in general, but I very much wish I had a partner and have moments of feeling very, very lonely. :/

NAYRT

Just chiming in to say you are not alone. I feel this, absolutely, 100%.

Sometimes it helps to remind myself how many people out there are in relationships and still feel horrible, crushingly lonely. Not because I like taking pleasure in other people's sadness. But, I mean, I think it's almost inherent to human nature that we tend to feel as though the thing(s) we don't have would make things so much better - until it almost gets to feeling like they're It for us, they're the biggest answer to our worst problem. (And I don't just mean love; success and skill, and, for some people, fame and control are also like that.) So for me it helps to remind myself that as often as not, people feel as unfulfilled with that thing we wish we had, as we feel without it. And if we had that thing, maybe it would make everything much better, but then maybe it wouldn't. Most people have something in their lives that isn't what they desperate wish it was, and that makes them wonder how they'll be able to stand it. Which...I guess YMMV whether that's a calming thought or a horrible depressing one, but for me it's calming.

I'm sure that's true for a lot of people. Having been in relationships and single, I know I am much less happy single. Doesn't mean I'd settle for a terrible relationship, of course, I'm talking about a good one.

It really varies.
