"Mentally ill coded" is the stupidest, vaguest thing in the whole world along with "autistic coded." You can look at any character trait as a sign of mental illness or autism if you want to, because those things cover such a wide area, and that's all people do. There's only the faintest chance that it's ever done intentionally to "code" them.
