This didn't have to be a secret, OP. You agree with an upsettingly large percentage of the fandom - who, honestly, ignore all of the progress Scott has made and vilify him for things all of the characters are guilty of.

Meanwhile, I'll be over here in my corner of people who adore Scott - who can get annoyed by some of his actions or lack of action - but still admire his strength, courage and good heart.

He was my favorite when I was actually a fan of the show, though I can admit that Scott isn't a perfect character. None of the characters are. The only difference is that they're all allowed to have flaws and make mistakes, in fandom's eyes. Meanwhile, like you said, Scott is considered the worst of the worst and vilified beyond belief. (Usually to lift up the fandom darling, Stiles, but that's a rant for a different day tbh.)
