Eh, maybe, maybe not depending on whether or not you get an expedited service, which costs extra. Don't delay any longer if you need that passport.

Research hotel locations carefully and do not rely on just their website to figure out if it's in a safe, convenient neighborhood. READ REVIEWS. I usually book directly if I can, just to avoid complications with the middleman. Never tried airbnb, so I can't help you there.

Don't know about Turkish airlines, either. Google for reviews and see what they say.
