Your reasoning is pretty weak, though it's a very popular one. Trolls use it all the time to rationalize why it's okay to dogpile anyone who dares have anything public on the internet. After all, if a teenage girl posts a selfie on her instagram, she MUST be okay with bunches of people making fun of her appearance, right?

You might want to rethink that logic. Or again, maybe you don't, I don't know you very well. I hadn't mentally noted you down as a possible troll previously.

This is some slippery slope BS. Do you think because I said something about an anonymous secret maker (who could very well just be lying on a secret to spark conversation), I am going to start attacking actual people?

Or that someone saying something about a completely anonymous secret put up on a forum made specifically for people to talk about those secrets is that same as going onto someone's personal blog and harassing them?

By your own reasoning, you feel that OP sharing this on a public site means they're inviting negative comments on who they decide to date. Like I said, it's one thing to be a little catty about someone else's relationship decisions, but at least have the guts to own it. It's a bit silly to pretend like OP is definitely asking for you to tell them they're being stupid and expect anyone to buy that logic.

Okay? I own my comment of telling the OP this is a stupid reason to break up with someone.

Would you have been fine if I had told OP that this was a great reason to break up with someone?
