Sometimes I see stuff tagged "long" or something like that and then I see it's like 6k words and then I'm confused because that is not a long story to me.

I come from the MLP fandom, where adventure fic often breaks 200K. There's one series called Austraeoh that's planned to be twelve volumes, and every volume has been 200K or more. If it ever finishes, it's gonna make Water Margin look concise.
