I always figured Sam would be a lawyer. I always headcanoned Dean as an electrical engineer or paramedic.

Auto mechanic/restorer and lawyer seem like the obvious, practically-canonical answers for Dean and Sam respectively

Lol yeah I thought mechanic too, but maybe that's a cliche in the fandom? (not involved in the fandom myself)

Mechanic definitely makes sense for Dean, but I could also see him doing something in the food industry. Nothing fancy but maybe running a diner or a bar. Probably a bar, actually.

A mechanic would work too! He is really good with his hands and loves cars. But if he did go the college route, I think he'd really be into engineering (he created his own EVP recorder).

Yeah, something like a mechanic always seemed like a good fit to me. But other suggestions are also good.

I really like the idea of Dean as a paramedic. Like, in an AU where he'd gotten out of the family business and somehow ended up going to post-secondary, I could absolutely see him as a paramedic.
