Haha, man my bf had a similar complaint about this song along the lines of 'why are they always strippers?' but I still think the tune is catchy.

for ONCE i want a song about a single mom who works a mundane job with a boss she hates who deals with customers who are idiots who has no time to hit the gym and besides, her appearance has been shoved down her list of priorities by her kid and work and more important things who thinks of her kids future as yet another person asks if the item is free because the scanner didnt get it hurr hurr

like, id respect the fuck out of a band that could make a hit of that make it mean something. i like this song but the sexy stripper mom thing is so painfully generic

I never really noticed tbh until he pointed it out and it was like 'oh yeah' but it is weirdly prevalent.

It would be cool if there was more variation but I guess a song about a more realistic single mum isn't as interesting? :P

like i said lower in the thread, dreamer by atmosphere is a good one for moms working mundane and terrible jobs because they love their kids.
