08. I don't think it's hypocritical. Men don't suffer the same kind of sexual and physical violence that women do in real life, so there's a much thicker line between fantasy and reality. When it's women, it's much harder to seperate out, because shit like that really does happen and there are enough people who hurt, rape and kill to make it significantly more uncomfortable.

37. Yeah, whatever. The way I heard it, it was some Slytherfen morons who chose the name to be ~*~*~edgy~*~*~ and to make their fairly run-of-the-mill HP RPG sound a lot edgier than it was. And no, they shouldn't get away with that shit. I'm glad people called them on it. I'm not sure what it has to do with writing about sexual abuse, because I'm sure most of the people who do write about sexual abuse would still object to a JonBenet Ramsey RP character.

It was hugely wanky, that's why it's made it all the way over to fandomsecrets. I think Krystallnacht would be a good name for a game involving, you know. WWII. Nazis. Something relevant.

Even in an RP involving Nazi Germany and oppression it would be...borderline. But understandable. This is beyond moronic.

Um, what? Men can be and do get raped, abused, and murdered just like women. Their suffering is no less just because they are The Male Who Shall Be Strong Under Immeasurable Pressure.

You're misinterpreting my comment, yeah.

I was talking about scale. I know men get raped and abused and murdered just like women and that's a hotbutton issue for me too. The level on which they happen and the reasons for which they happen tend to be different though.
