37) I admittedly know none of the context here, and I'm too lazy to look into it, but ... I'm going to go ahead and assume the name choice had nothing to do with anti-semitism. (though even if it did, I'm not sure why it would be censored - I think I recall having seen some sort of Nazi porn community on here somewhere). So if it was actually actively censored, I'm on your side, go ahead with your Nazi Harry Potter RPG if that's, uh, what floats your boat. If you're just upset because other people complained that the name was completely insensitive (which it is), though, crai moar. If you have the right to RP genocide, other people have the right to object openly ♥.

37. The name choice had to do with people being idiots, mostly. Less anti-semitism, more having their sense of perspective lopped off with a wet spoon. And no, there was no actual censorship.

I mean, I guess I understand what they were trying to evoke with the name (or maybe not, other commenters indicate the RPG was just a lot of Slytherin snogging, and not so much on the massacring - were there even parallels to justify it?) But I mean, come on... Really? REALLY?!? Giving it that name is pretty much asking for it :'D.

One could draw a parallel between Voldemort-controlled HPverse and Nazi Germany, but it's stretching it thin enough with the canon. Making it an RP for to be goofing off with is just distasteful.

I actually don't think that's stretching it thin - the overtones are pretty clearly intentional in the book. Bu-ut, that's not to say it isn't distasteful to glorify ethnic cleansing, obviously.
