A fucked up family, I get, but man, I don't think Lucius was abusive.

Doesn't Draco's boggart turn into his dad, though? Like, the thing he is most afraid of in the entire world is his dad. I'm not saying that 100% conclusively means his dad is physically abusing him. It might be emotional and psychological abuse without a physical component. But it's not exactly a leap to think there's physical abuse going on there too.

For the record, I'm not in the HP fandom and have zero investment in how Draco is portrayed.

I have these books practically memorized and I don't remember him ever encountering a boggart that we saw.

Huh, that's so weird. I remember this as clearly as though I had read it, but I've literally never read a single HP fic in my life.

There was a fairly popular text post going round that suggested Draco's beggars would turn into his dad, maybe you saw that? It never made sense to me, though. Draco clearly idolised his parent. In book three hisboggart'd probably turn into a hippogriff or the forbidden forest imho

Yeah, I must have seen it in my Pinterest feed or something. They have those "headcanon" posts that go around all the time. My bad.

In the books, it's not revealed if Draco confronted a boggart and if he did, what he saw.

Having said that I would argue that brainwashing a child into thinking everyone who isn't a 'full-blood' wizard is scum, is a form of child abuse.
