I write Kylux and don't like either character. I mean, Hux is kinda cardboard cutout, but I actively dislike Kylo because of that line he has with Rey, saying "you know I can just take whatever I want" (paraphrasing). BUT, I want to write gore and amoral situations and slapstick shenanigans, so I sure as shit don't go for Poe/Finn where I'd be lynched. No, I go for the allegorical Nazi who (in fandom) fucks a child-killing rapist.

People are always going to read too much into the motivations of what you do, who you write for, who you read. I know it's upsetting, but ignoring it is the only way to survive the shitstorm and keep your blood pressure intact :/
