When you ship a male character with a female character, I can't help but think

"Do you really? Or has fandom dulled your ability to process straightforward friendship between a man and a woman?"

And that invalidates the original post... how? Both points are relevant.

I think it's less invalidating the point, than saying, hey, just because the two people involved are both male doesn't make it any different from a male - female duo or two girls. And this coming from someone who has a ton of straight, gay, and lesbian OTPs, and can take pretty much ANY two-or-more characters romantically or platonically.

Also, I dunno, it might just be me, but I don't really see why anyone should 'feel sorry for' someone enjoying something, even if it is slashing everything they see. So what, exactly?

So we can never ship two characters who are friends?
