How the hell would you know what people do when they fear their parents are going to reject them?

Because I (shockingly) have parents.

Why the fuck wouldn't they post about it on Livejournal?

They can post about it on LiveJournal all they like, but -- to me -- posting anonymously about such an issue is fruitless. All they're doing is laying the foundation for a pity fest.

And how the fuck do you manage to gather from a single goddamned secret that they HAVE no contingency plans?

True. How could I? I was wrong to make an assumption.

I suppose I simply meant to illustrate that, in my eyes, spending time working on an "if the worst should happen" plan is more productive than posting about it anonymously. No one can reach out to you if you're anonymous.

just because you have parents doesn't mean you've ever been in a situation where you were afraid of them.

You think the 30 seconds it takes to make a secret is really detracting from their "if the worst should happen" planning time? What, are they supposed to spend every waking moment on it?
