The writer's strike definitely changed the face of television. Some shows got a second season when they wouldn't have otherwise (October Road and Pushing Daisies, but both were short shows) but Lost and Heroes were really affected by the strike.

Comedies were easier to pick back up again, you hardly notice the blip in The Office, but with dramas, it was more pronounced.
