Drawer fic

The Heroes talk today reminded me that I've got a half-done fic about Lyle Bennett being invisible that I kind of want to finish, but I have other current WIPs AND more drawer fics going way farther back than that one, and then I kind of lose my mojo.

So let's talk about drawer fic! Whatcha got?

I started an Osomatsu-san fic (Iyami/matsus partial genderswap gangbang) back this summer and haven't finished it. I'd still like to, because I think there's some good stuff in there, but I haven't been able to write the sex parts to my satisfaction. @_@

The Victorian-era HP stuff from back in the day. I started a handful of different stories about Aberforth Dumbledore (pre-HBP, so very little was known about him!) and some OCs who were ancestors of the Patil family. Aberforth and the main OFC, Josephine, went on to become teachers at the wizarding school in India, and I wrote a freaking murder mystery for them. Or, well, the first 2 chapters of a murder mystery, a few scattered scenes, and a pretty detailed outline. But I knew exactly what was going to happen and I'm still rather proud of it.

I can hardly bring myself to write porn ever, but I have this one piece of just completely self-indulgent smut that I work on from time to time when I'm really frustrated. It's not exactly happy smut, oops. For some reason this fic's one-sided attraction (from character A) and horrible internalized homophobia/shame issues (from character B) really work for me when I'm angry at the world.

I don't think I'll ever finish my Once Upon a Time story that puts a grown-up Henry and child Neil Charming in Neverland where they take on the mantles of classic Hook and Pan.

I've got so many pieces that I like but it's been 2 years and the whole just isn't coming together.

I have this huge fic that I keep stalling out on, mostly because I keep psyching myself out of it.

It's basically a "what if the Closed Score came true" scenario, beginning with Peony's death and going through the fall of Malkuth, only Jade decides to try and keep some semblance of order to try to save it-- by forging documents saying that Peony had married Nephry in secret, thus effectively putting her on the throne in his stead.

I think it's actually pretty good, and I want to keep working on it, but I know people are going to be skeeved out by the fact that, even though it's mostly gen/adventure/political intrigue, there are shippy elements, and... it's Jade/Nephry. So... idk. I keep losing steam because I'm too worried about the backlash.
