I work as a receptionist in insurance. It's for a career, as I'm learning more clerical work every day for the company. It's a family line of work, I fell into it accidentally when my dad needed help, and I just stuck with it. I definitely have a sense of loyalty to it, but I also really don't feel like I have skills outside of this job beyond retail. If I had gone on to do my own thing I'd have stuck with tech support, and I was bad at it.
