There's been a lot of Jet hate in the comments, so I feel the need to COMMENT YET AGAIN! And say that Jet is as awesome as he is crazy, and that some of the best fanwork in Avatar fandom (comics! fic! art! even FSTs!) centers around him....

AND MAYBE IT WILL CHANGE YOUR MIND?

...or maybe not.

Meanwhile, I'll continue drawing little floaty hearts around him like a moron.

Yeah! There are a lot of flawed characters, who did bad things for whatever reasons, and then changed their ways, or tried to.
It's why we like people like Zuko. :( And apparantly, why w hate Jet? How does that make sense, why this stupid double standard!

I'll just say "Americans", it's te simplest answer to everything. ;P

It's not that I HATED him, per se, I just didn't really care that he died. Whereas most of the fandom seems to be devastated to the point that his fictional friends can't even laugh at a poorly-done portrayal in a play without catching flack.

I will freely admit that my Jet love is ENTIRELY the fault of fandom, a few excellent Jet/Zuko writers in particular. When I initially watched the show I was a little sad about what happened to him but didn't give it much thought.

Amen to this. Someday I'm going to express my Jet love by scarring the entire fandom with a wildly self-indulgent, ridiculously melodramatic ~*~JETKOTARA~*~ epic about his epic return! Or...maybe that's just in my fantasy world. Whatever, the point is, Jet makes everything sexier with his sad little deranged extremist ways. ♥
