I like them more for the imagery they gave us and giving us more variety in dwarves than just Gimli. I think the latter two have faults and unfortunately those faults have made me recognise the Franchise Original Sins in AUJ.

But again, I am glad they exist, if only because it made dwarves appealing - I refuse to be hipster about the "Hot Dwarves" - I lliked that there were hot dwarves, because before them I really didn't see the appeal of dwarves in general.

Also, I have been to Hobbiton. I'm glad the Hobbit movies got it rebuilt, and rebuilt as a permanent theme park thing.
