I feel similarly, though I don't think I can point at Tumblr specifically. I am not that happy about it. Save for one profic series that I love when a new book comes out, and my childhood/teenage long-loved books, new ones aren't getting my attention the way fanfic does. And I recently went through a drought where fandom had turned me off reading fanfic and I tried so hard to get back to profic and did read several and totally enjoyed pretty much none. I felt like I was faking it. The fanfic I had read for so many years was so much better.

Now I've found a revival in my fannishness and Paperwhite is getting a workout.

Thank goodness.
