Re: incompatible sexualities

My best friend is straight, but when she's drunk, we make out, grope, and even have sex. When we have drunk sex, it's pretty obvious she is, err, physically reacting to it and turned on. But there's also not really a doubt in my head that she's straight, at least effectively straight. I think we're just such close friends that it feels comfortable to do that with. It's almost like masturbating. I don't know how to explain it well, but even though I'm a lesbian, I never think about her in a sexual way even when we're having sex. I'm pretty good about compartmentalizing friends (and people in general) into "potentially available" and "nope". If she were also gay, it might be different, because I might start thinking about her that way, but since I know she's not, I just don't think about her that way.

Not sure if that's what you meant by your question. I know my situation is a little weird. lol
