48. Good for you, Axel/Roxas deserves unashamed fans. :\ Fuck those guys who act like anyone above the age of eight somehow "knows better" than to ship Axel/Roxas. WE'RE HERE, WE'RE SANE AND MATURE ADULTS, AND WE'RE PROUD OF IT. At least, all the ones I've met are.

Augh, word. Like I said, it's no secret that I ship it, but I can feel my integrity in other people's eyes slipping away every time I admit it, and it drives me up the wall. It's an interesting pairing with two interesting characters who have an interesting relationship in canon – it'd be nice if "intelligent fandom" would stop acting like it's a crack pairing that's gained unjustified popularity and that everyone who ships it must be an immature, shallow yaoi fangirl.

I'm still pretty embarrassed about the fact that it was the pairing's existing fandom that made me interested in the game, though.

THIS. :\ Yes, I started shipping Axel/Roxas because they are two characters whose canon relationship is complicated, contradictory, and worth exploring, enjoying. That's why I ship any two characters. It's incredible that I can get dirty looks from people who ship things like Marluxia/Vexen or (even weirder) Vexen/Saix when I admit to liking Axel/Roxas. I don't have anything against crack pairings, seriously, ship what you want, but I just don't understand why in KH fandom, there is this one pairing that everyone who calls themselves "intelligent" is supposed to either sneer at, or, if they don't, is supposed to hide under a garbage can in an effort to avoid notice.

I'm writing an epic KH fanfic, and I'm afraid that if I admit that there's Axel/Roxas content in it, I'll lose 90% of the potential audience out of what seems to be pure spite. :\

Yes! And it's totally bizarre because it's just ... you know, a pairing that has a hell of a lot to offer anyone who wants to think about it in any depth. But because it a lot of people don't think about it in much depth, that somehow renders the efforts of the rest of us shameful? OKAY SURE WHATEVER

I mean, honestly. People can ship what they like and not ship what they don't like, but I just don't like worrying what my friends list will think of me when I post Axel/Roxas fanart, or knowing that people are going to dismiss my opinions if they see it, or ... auugh.

another_rpg -- the premise of the story is that Roxas eats Sora at the end of the prologue instead of vice versa, and KH2 continues as scheduled with "Roxas! Namine! Axel!" instead of "Sora! Donald! Goofy!" The prologue took forever to write out, but we're finally done with it (although it's not all posted) so we're going to move on to original content. XD It's already like, 20,000 damn words, but w/e
