And I totally agree. I don't think you can even have an opinion on CLAMP until you've read 10/23+ series, and Rayearth better be one of 'em.
(And Tsubasa and XXX HoLic cannot be two of 'em. They're way too similar to count as two different series in the CLAMP-verse. Pick Duklyon or Clover or Miyuki-chan in Wonderland and then say CLAMP isn't really creative.)

You know, I don't believe I've read even half of what CLAMP's put out, but it's mostly their older (and more girly) works. But I still agree!
I haven't picked up Tsubasa mostly because I'm not all that wild about the art style. That and I don't have enough room for 20+ volumes. I ran out of room with RG Veda.

I haven't been able to get all the RG Veda volumes, yet. It makes me sad, but a friend of mine has read it all so when I start CLAMP discussions she tends to fill in from that manga for me.
Tsubasa is drawn, I'm pretty sure, by Mick instead of Mokona, and Mokona did the earlier stuff.
I've read a great majority of their works and... own most of them, too. And I do go back and read them again and think about wtf that plot was supposed to mean and stare at the pretty pictures... And I totally accept all the plotholes and mistakes and odd tendencies for what they are. Which is why I'm so disturbed when people hate CLAMP for the little things that I, as a CLAMP fan, have already noticed and looked over. I feel like those people are reaching for reasons to hate, you know? Because a lot of manga and anime artists make those same mistakes.
Like... hating CLAMP for long legs. Sailormoon? Hating CLAMP for girly guys. Dude, I couldn't even read that wallflower thing the guys were so girly. Hating CLAMP for BS plotlines and details. Um, like Beyblades can take over the world? Like Ninjas really dress in orange? And really, isn't every love story essentially the same when you take the situation and context away?
I respect people who don't like the art. I respect people who don't like the stories. But when you start calling all of CLAMP bad for little things, I can't respect your opinion, especially when you're citing Tsubasa, which I think is Ohkawa having a field day.
