21) Well, to be fair, 16 is legal in a lot of places (eg Britain and Ireland). If she were any younger than that I'd agree with you, but 16? Not so much.

64) Personally I ship him with either Adhemar or the Black Prince. Which is probably worse. I ship Chaucer with Wat (which means that for once I have a semi appropriate icon, thanks for bringing this fandom up). It's about the charcters, not the actors, don't beat yourself up about it.

Huh, I thought it was 18 in California (fangirl that I am, I actually went and looked up age of consent rules justbecause of B/A). But yeah, 16 and 17 are legal in a lot of places. (16 is legal in my state.)

Heh. Yeah, I know a lot of people went and looked up the age of consent rules for B/A. I could have sworn it was 17 in CA, but I could be wrong on that count at least. God knows I haven't been in the fandom in forever and a day, so. *shrugs*

I don't know ... I always let the age thing slide because he was raised in a different time and she's the 'one girl in every generation' who gets to fight evil and die young, so I think one year off the age of consent is counterbalanced by the fact that the life expectancy of a Slayer is, like, five minutes.

I had much bigger personal problems with the relationship, like that every time I hear the phrase "true love" I twitch. ;)
