I think you may be entirely missing the point. The point was that love doesn't have to be synonymous with sex. Hideki was accepting the fact that he wouldn't have sex with her because he loved her so much. To him, she was more than just a computer, and that's why he was willing to sacrifice that for her. The reason her button was put there was so that she wouldn't become just a glorified sex doll. That's why she had to find someone who would treat her like something more.

Besides, she's a computer. She doesn't have nerve endings or anything. She would draw no pleasure from sex. Her personality is such that she probably understand it anyway.

Okay... wait a moment. I'm totally unfamiliar with this fandom, but it sounds like they gave this chick an "off" switch in her vagina and you are saying the point is so she doesn't turn into a sex doll.

Why give her a vagina at all if she wasn't meant to use it? She could have just been anatomically incorrect. Why put an off switch where it would be highly embarrassing and difficult to turn it off if for some reason you had to shut her down? And how would not having a switch in her snatch keep her from being a turned sex bot? And isn't a bit puritanical to design a robot to look sexy just so they can shake their fingers at those who might want to have sex with a completely intelligent and emotionally responsive person?

You have just identified a very nice plothole.

I think, maaaybe, that the idea of putting the swich in the twat was so that if Hideki did succumb and screw her he'd have to deal with the repercussions of erasing her memory banks and having to start over (Which is the result of turning her off). Which... would also be puritanical in the sense of punishment for having sex?

I really don't think CLAMP thought this part through. I think they thought the implication would be enough and technicalities weren't important. Good God, wrong much?

The persocoms look sexy because Mokona likes drawing hot women. I'm pretty sure of this. But if we were trying to stay in the story's "world," I would say the persocoms are sexy because people wouldn't spend money on ugly things. But, since you're unfamiliar, it's only Chii that has a switch in the vagina. Most manufactured persocoms have their switches in more practical locations and, I think Shinbo mentions, some are just sex dolls. (Hideki is then horrified by this idea and... then... is later turned on by Chii. Hmm.)
