I-is my thing where I read unhealthy amounts of fantasy schlock as a child instead of playing outside like the normal children tripping me up here? fandomsecrets seems to say that it is so! MY WORLDVIEW IS FALLING APART.

I myself am often in the position of having to look words up, so I get that! But why hate on the word. It is a fun word with neat imagery. Poleaxed could be one of the cool words if only people'd give it a chance, it swears! IF YOU JUST GOT TO KNOW IT IT COULD SHOW YOU A GOOD TIME.

I kind of want to do research on alternate words now! Especially for stuff like porn when you KNOW it's going to be all slippery slick thrusting friction blah blah. Sure, they're tried and true, but often sometimes our everyday language could stand to get a little more variable. We have one of the coolest languages in the world for that sort of thing and we don't take advantage of it! C'mon, I bet someone could make lubricious sound really sexy.
