I don't recall mocking anyone's culture, insulting the sick or those that are close with their families? Maybe you can point that part out to me. Must be in small type, or something.

What I am saying is that someone is a jobless loser if he or she is perfectly capable of holding a job and chooses not to. Someone who is well into their 30s and continues to live with her parents (who insist that she move out and get a job). Someone lazy and childish who chooses not to grow up and, instead, spends all their time whining about their parents on the internet.

Why should I have to be friends with someone like that when I'm young, successful and educated? Because we're in the same tiny fandom? Would you be friends with someone like that? Because if you would be, you're way nicer than me; you'd be a saint.

Not only are you a judgemental bitch, you're a snarky one, too! Two for one deal! Niiiiice!

Why should I have to be friends with someone like that when I'm young, successful and educated?

You know why? Because, in your obviously blind, egotistical youth, you've forgotten that your circumstances can change in the blink of an eye. You think you're so successful now? What happens when you find yourself unemployed? And don't say it can't happen to you because it can happen to anyone, at any time. And personally, I can't think of anyone more deserving of a smackdown than you.

No one is telling you to be best friends with the girl, but a little empathy goes a long way. In fact, you'd be doing her a favor if you weren't friends with her. Would I be friends with her? Well, I'm an adult, with the ability to judge people on merits other than their economic/societal status, so yeah, I probably could.

You know, you might have had a leg to stand on, but you had to go and call yourself a BNF. Honey, if you have to call yourself one, you AREN'T one.

...And what does "educated" mean, dear?

Honestly, people like you usually crash and burn. Hard. Then you learn some human decency and normalize. (Well, if you and everyone around you are lucky, that is.)

And yes, I would be friends with someone like that, if they were nice and fun to talk to. Does that makes me a saint? Hardly. I just direct my nasty side at people who deserve it. Like at snotty brats who think they shit rainbows because they've been inside a college.

Anon 'cause I agree with you.

I have little respect for the people I DO know IRL who leech off others (usually their parents, often friends) and are still completely dependent and incompetent at as old as thirty.

It's easy to spout righteous nonsense out not being judgmental when it's all hypothetical. Actually dealing with that sort of person on a day-to-day basis I find incredibly grinding.

People who can't get their shit together by that point financially/educationally/goal-wise are rarely able to get their shit together personally and socially. I don't want to associate with them any more than I have to.

Take this from someone who's seen plenty of family members go down the shitter.
