Oh yes, you're so clever anonymouse. Really, first time I ever heard that one. Honest to god.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go ahead and admire my 4.0 GPA, my paychecks from my steady job and my check for rent for the next few months. Pardon me, could take me a while. I'm such a loser because I like Pokémon, afterall, I might get distracted by something shiny.

(Anonymous) 2008-05-14 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
See how easy it is to be judgmental? It doesn't matter what your circumstances are, you are unemployed, so you are a loser. It doesn't matter what your circumstances are, you are an adult watching a crappy jap cartoon for ten year olds, so you are a loser.

[identity profile] homestar.livejournal.com 2008-05-14 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
Lol anonymouse trying to teach me a lesson. How cute.

Sugar, I couldn't care less about being a judgemental twat on the internet. Anyone capable of working and not actively looking for a job is a loser. I'm not in the business of looking for the exceptions- that's a waste of my time. If you can work, and you aren't looking ... loser. Period. There's plenty of work out there. I hear McDonald's is hiring.

Unlike the OP, I'm not known for being nice. I'm known for being an uber-bitch, but I don't really see why people are ganging up on him/her. Like none of you go out of your way to avoid someone you don't think is cool enough to be worth your time. Just because he/she acknowledges that it's a bitchy trait anonymously, they get told to DIAF and get hit by a truck?

Hypocritical LJers are hypocritical.

Examine yourselves for a bit, and see if you don't do the same thing. Maybe not to people who are jobless, but maybe people into 'kiddie' fandoms? Maybe furries? Maybe the guy at work who sort of smells? Everyone does it.

I'm not the coolest kid in the world, but no way in hell would I ever associate with someone who mooches off their parents like that with no sign of changing their ways. Sorry for not having the courtesy of being quiet about it, I suppose.

But I don't feel sorry for thinking it.

You know what's even funnier than being a judgemental twat who is obsessed with pokecrap yet has the gall to call others losers?

Being engrossed into expanding your e-penis by being a douche behind a computer screen. I guess that also admitting the fact, gives one extra troll points. Using sarcastically sweet remarks is must, of course. Anything to get a rise out of strangers in the intewebs.

Carry on, soldier, you might one day resemble your favorite animu 'badass' villain and make your life complete.

ANOTHER MOUSE

(Anonymous) 2008-05-14 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
1) I will never understand how people seem to be proud of being "a judgemental twat on the Internet" when I assume they at least try to be decent human beings in real life. I know the Internet isn't serious business, but geez. The people you talk to through a screen are the same kind of people you talk to in real life, no more, no less.

2) I'm not saying this ISN'T the case with the person the OP is talking about, but if you don't know, you're being just as ridiculous as the people who are assuming that that person is crippled. All s/he is saying is that the person is unemployed and living at home. Not that they do or do not have medical or psychological problems, not that they do or do not have mitigating circumstances, and not, you know, whether or not the person IS looking for a job.

3) The admission is not just that it's a bitchy trait. It's also saying that s/he knows it's bitchy and has absolutely no shame about it, besides also admitting that s/he is two-faced enough to lie to other people just so no one will think s/he's anything less than perfect.

4) ... Actually, I try very hard not to go "okay this person is worthless, AVOID =D" for anything less than them being a BAD PERSON. Puts me in the minority, I guess. But people are people whatever they like or their habits, they aren't just defined by one thing. I'm not going to lie, I have been judgemental before, but I've tried NOT to be, and am ashamed when I catch myself at it.

That's the big thing, I guess. The attitude of "I have just labelled this person as unworthy of me, and I know it's bitchy of me, but lol I don't care♥" is what grates on me, though I can't speak for the other anon or anyone else.

Tried not to be bitchy with the comment, so sorry if any of it came out that way. Also sorry for the flak you're catching for being a Pokemon fan, I was just loving on your icons myself.

No no, you do not seem to understand. This pathetic excuse of an apology just won't do. See, you are addressing towards someone who has a job. I don't think you've gotten the memo, but that automatically makes one a superior being, qualified to be a judgmental twat towards the populations of their own choice.
If you are not one of the Cool Kids, she just won't associate with you. If you are jobless but have a good reason for it, tough luck, She will not waste Her time on pesky exceptions. Princess here has a new teddybear, a 4.0 GPA. That's, like, so original that legend has it that only a beautiful and unique snowflake can be the possessor of one of those.
Seriously, thou worm, where is thy courtesy?

I know I'm feeding the troll's precious hungry ego, but I'm feelin charitable today <3

(Anonymous) 2008-05-14 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
...Yes, because wearing a fursuit or humping you pikatsu plusie is totally the same with not being able to find a job or having to live with their parents. Clearly. Way to miss the entire point.

btw
-There are no mcdonalds hiring everywhere :(
-People who are jobless leeches due to pure laziness are actually the exception, not the rule. Use common sense.

but i want to be *cool* like you musa-chaaaaaaaan =^____^= You may be skipping the points that prove you wrong and covering that with very very ingenious remarks, but we still luv u <3

MOUSE #2

(Anonymous) 2008-05-14 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
... Not that I agree with [livejournal.com profile] musachan on all of this. In fact, I think the secret was badly worded, and the people who assume that the person described is "not able to find a job" or mentally or physically unable to work are Doin' It Wrong just as much as the people who are agreeing under the blind assumption that he/she is, in fact, a lazy leech. Because both happen.

And you know, sorry, but being a Pokemon fan =/= being an OMG SOCIAL LEPERRRRR FURRY. So you assuming that makes you just as much fail as you're making musa-chan out to be.

MOUSE #1

(Anonymous) 2008-05-14 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
Both happen but the former is the most common. That's the reality. How awesome it would be for the majority of the population to be *so* wealthy that there would be a phenomenon of people who wouldn't feel like getting a job, eh?

And just giving her some piece of her own medicine :) You like pokemon? No problem, we all have guilty pleasures. You call the general jobless population 'losers' and yet you love the geekiest things that people generally attribute to losers? Then you are just begging for it.

MOUSE #2

(Anonymous) 2008-05-14 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
I've seen quite a few of both examples. It probably is more common that someone is trying to find a job but the market sucks, or they have other circumstances. It doesn't change the fact that it's even odds as to whether the OP was talking about someone who deserved to be pitied more than censured, or if they really are one of those people who decided to mooch off their parents as long as possible because they can.

Haha, can't really call it a guilty pleasure since I try not to feel guilty about liking what I like. /shrugs I get using it to make a point, but I also think it's a fine line between giving someone a taste of their own medicine and inadvertantly making your argument look as flawed as theirs.

(Anonymous) 2008-05-14 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
Fascinating. Do tell us more about your epic chronicles as an internet toughbitch. They must be indeed inspiring tales of yore for all seekers of virtual penis enlargement. Here, I'll give you the attention you are begging for.

[identity profile] lunchy.livejournal.com 2008-05-14 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
GO TEAM DOUCHEBAG!

(Anonymous) 2008-05-14 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
Why is it that so many college kids wave their GPAs around like some sort of penis. And I've noticed that every college kid who gets into an internet argument with someone has a 4.0. >_> We'll see in a few years if your degree actually lands you a decent career and if you don't end up like the person you're mocking. Depending on what you've got that 4.0 in, you still might not be able to find a job.

Also: if you're going to dish out snark, don't do it unless you can take the heat.

[identity profile] xreddestinyx.livejournal.com 2008-05-14 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
Seconded on the GPA thing. And some of them just wave the fact that they're in college around.

I'm hoping for them to drown while they try to kiss their reflection. Or at least get a tounge full of papercuts after attempting to french with their transcript.

(Anonymous) 2008-05-14 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
