I've used cheap tampons and expensive tampons and hell if I could tell the difference between them. They go in my cooch, they soak up blood. As long as they do that, they're a-okay in my book.

Maybe this is a heavy vs light flow thing? Mine's very light, and I could honestly use any product on the shelf for pretty much any day of my period and it would work fine.

I have heard some women say that No Name tampons are more likely to leave tiny bits of fluff in your vag, which obviously poses a risk for stuff like toxic shock syndrome. But I'm not sure there's any basis for that in reality or if it's just a thing people say. Seems likely to be 99% paranoia to me.
