Fan Theories

(Anonymous) 2017-03-10 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
What are your favorite fan-theories or speculations?
Least favorite? Minor ones you don't have anywhere else to post?
Recently jossed theories?

Voltron and Thor Ragnarok

(Anonymous) 2017-03-10 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
Voltron - The castle's computer voice when the Paladins first enter the Castle of Lions is voiced by Cree Summer. Cree Summer is also Haggar. Was that forshadowing Haggar's Altean reveal in S2?

Thor - In the Doctor Strange ending bit, Thor doesn't act like Thor. He's just... off? Why would he come for help? Why would he be surprised at the refilling beer since Asgard has lots of magic? And he knows everything Loki does at the end of Thor 2. My theory is that's Loki pretending to be Thor to manipulate Strange (maybe to get his hands on the Time Stone?). Maybe that's the only good thing about Thor's new ugly haircut, it supports my theory.

Pretty sure it is jossed, but I loved the theory that Loki purposefully lost so that he could get back into Asgard and still the Infinity Gauntlet.

I always liked that one too.

Least favorite: Jimmy McGill changed his name to Saul Goodman because he was disbarred. I've seen this mentioned here before (not people believing it but calling it out) and I completely agree, it's beyond stupid that people would think a lawyer could be disbarred, change his name, then begin practicing law again in the same city with the same peers and the same court system and no one notices or cares. It simply doesn't work that way.

Voltron (Shiro)

(Anonymous) 2017-03-10 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
I really like the theory going around that Shiro is part Altean, that he's the one who opened the wormhole the first time, and his prosthetic arm allows him to activate his Altean magic (or perhaps that his Altean magic helped him block the control that the prosthetic was meant to have over him, etc.). It's a great theory! :D

I love the Great Northern Conspiracy in Game of Thrones:

Giratina as PokeSatan is likely wrong for several reasons, but I do love the idea.

I don't even watch the show anymore, but I still love the idea that Blue Fairy is the ultimate series villain of Once Upon a Time.

I love the theory that Loki was tortured pre-Avengers to explain how wrecked he looks that entire movie.

Voltron -
Probably discussed all over the place, but I like the idea that the old Blue Paladin was Marmora and Keith is their descendant.

The mystery person in Galra spacesuit they found in the Weblum was Matt

Least favorite, Star Wars Rebels "Sabine sounds like Satine so she's obviously Satine's daughter or niece!" Even though from the very beginning Filoni debunked that as just being coincidence and stated that Sabine was not biologically related to Satine at all.
