Plus, how do all the new people always know about all the team's past traumas?

The team always told them about that stuff after they joined the group, though. For instance, Luke, Tara, and Stephen were just recently informed about everything involving Tobais Hankel by the others, they didn't know any of that coming in.

I do agree with your point about team members who've left barely being mentioned anymore, if ever, though. The only ones they ever really did that with were Emily and Gideon. But it would be nice to know what Blake or Seaver or Todd or Callahan are doing now. The show mentions them being transferred to new units/going back to teaching/whatever, but then that's it for any further mention of them. I would think Reid would talk about Blake a lot, for instance, considering how close they were.

And Elle, yeah, what did happen to her over the years? It'd be nice to hear how she's doing, especially given how concerned about her Hotch and Reid in particular were in the aftermath of her whole thing with Garner.

As for the current situation, yeah, Hotch not being there makes sense since he's in Witness Protection, but Morgan? He DEFINITELY should be showing up. We've all seen how uber protective he can be of Reid. And obviously there might be some limits to what he's able to do since he's not part of the team anymore, but no way would he let this whole thing slide without doing something. I'm hoping that he has filmed a guest spot during this whole arc somewhere, and they're just keeping it secret so it can be a nice surprise for viewers down the line.

But if we go through this and there isn't even a mention of Morgan, or a mention of somebody on the team talking to Morgan about what's going on (you know Garcia especially would want to alert him about all of this and keep him in the loop), if not an actual appearance from Morgan himself, then...yeah. I'll be very surprised and bothered by that.
