03) I liked the series all right, but the OAV/OVA made me go "WTF? Things were okay and then Naoe decided to go all nuts and rapist-y and then subservient again and MAKE UP YOUR MIND STUPID SHOW."

Nagahide and Haruie made it semi-all right though. I always liked them.
At least I think that's Mirage of Blaze. Correct me if I'm wrong there.

57) She wasn't the best CRD by far, but it sounds like the cast and crew had fun with it, and it's fun to see Jared play Sam being intimidated by someone so tiny. And he shot his girlfriend without... shooting his girlfriend, how many people get to do that?

62) Pairing would be okay, but man I love Anissina/Gwendal. And I think Gunter is far, far too busy (and happy) fangirling Yuri to ever fall in love.

I think it's Naoe, not the show, who has a mind that needs to be made up. Naoe is carrying around a couple of hundred years of baggage. Unfortunately, like many series, it was translated from novels. And there's a lot of novels, so much of the stuff was cut out. Kagetora was not a nice guy by any means. He mindfucked Naoe for the hell of it and knew perfectly well he was doing it. Basically a bit of systematic breaking. Then Naoe raped Kagetora's wife, and it all went to hell. Because rape is certainly not a sign of a well-controlled dog.

Then they were reincarnated and, suddenly, Naoe is faced with Takaya, who is Kagetora's new host, but nothing at all like the one Naoe is used to, because he refuses to give in. Takaya is pretty much genuinely NICE. For the most part.

So, yeah. Naoe is confused as fuck, and he's the type of person who bites when he's confused.

That actually puts things in a lot more ocntext and maeks much more sense. I didn't expect for things to end "nicely" at the end of the series, but just from what I saw, it seemed like things were heading upwards. And then I saw the next part and was like "Buh? Where exactly am I missing something?"
