It had some beautiful animation and a few neat image ideas, but aside from that you'd never think a story about a swordfighting crossdressing French spy inhabited by the spirit of his dead sister could be that boring. To me, it was like Romeo and Juliet or Gankutsuou--they're all very expensively done and totally uninspired and dull. Reminds me of those mediocre three hour long Oscar bait period piece movies.
49. IAWTS. The whole BSG canon is too fascinating as a whole and as is, to be especially invested in any single ship or any piece to the exclusion/detriment of the rest. Whatever serves the story best is fine. (Admittedly I do lust vaguely after more Kara/Leoben...still not going to ~riot~ or even be all that disappointed if it doesn't happen, though)
63. ...well, I certainly wouldn't say 'best anime ever' (I could've done with a more original/interesting art style and character design, at very least--moeblobs are not my thing), still, Simoun was pretty good. It was even pretty smart and coherent, for something done in that style and aimed at that audience.
