6.) It's hard to be in Fandom if your a Fan of something and have no interest in any of the Fan-Fiction or other junk, but still want to talk about it. Even though, being a fan of the canon still leads to people coming up with absurd and stupid speculation. Or completely being oblivious to plot points. Sometimes a plot point is just a plot point, seriously people. O_o;;; (There is one Fandom with stupid speculation that is truely LOL WUT....it's a Fandom in it's baby stages.) That's why I've pretty much quit bothering. I only go to snap up icons and that's about it anymore.

I don't mind spoofs. Any other kind of Fan-Fiction or stupid shipping or whatever, doesn't interest me.

Maybe you could create a community where people can talk about TV Show/Manga/etc without the overbearing Fandom aspect?

this is by far the nicest comment I've had on this so far. that's exactly what I was going for, I guess I really made it sound horrible in the secret =[

spoofs are pretty funny, though. especially video game ones, ahahaha. I get a kick out of them.

This community has some extremely hardcore people. *cough*that are a little over invested for their own good*cough*

It's hard for Fandom to understand, sometimes people just like to have casual talk about quotes and stuff they like about it or think is coming up the line. Or talk about what they enjoy about the show/book/movie what have you. They still consider themselves fans of whatever it is, but they really have no interest in reading other peoples daydreams (which is what Fan-Fiction is).

Just because you don't like Fan-Fiction or don't like Shipping of whatever kind, doesn't mean you don't know how to have fun, or that you're not a creative person. I don't understand that line of thinking. I think some people just get too wrapped up in Fandom and forget that point of view.

Fanfiction is merely a 'what if', written down. and i've seen plenty of people do that who are not in fandom. "what if they'd made another decision at this point!!' etc.

Even if i'm not 'in fandom', actively for a show, I still go into plots etc too much, or 'hey, what do you think they did between such and such scenes?' (sexual or otherwise)... is that too fandom for people like you two?

Like I said. Quotes, funny and interesting moments, interesting plot twists that happened. Likes and dislikes about characters and plots. Then again, I think this falls into the; you can be a Fan of something and fall outside the realm of Fandom.
