But the adventure they're talking about and have been talking about in point 1 and 2 is the kind of huge, fictional, Harry-Potter-esque adventure which is totally different from the small adventures you can make. It's perfectly clear to me?

It might be clear to you, but the secret doesn't mention Harry Potter at all, nor is it specific about what sort of adventure OP is talking about. The only criteria the secret mentions is that a Grand Adventure is neither planned nor safe, but at the same time doesn't take unnecessary risk on purpose. That's a much broader range than what you're talking about.

I said HP because it was the first thing that came to mind as an example of adventure sweeping off. Either way an adventure that sweeps you off into a situation that involves risk isn't the same thing as you putting yourself into an unnecessarily risky situation on purpose?? And an adventure that sweeps you off isn't the same as an adventure that you make.

Someone wishing they'd run into a sexy guy for them at the cafe they always go to maybe doesn't want to go search on Tinder for guys. It doesn't mean they're not talking to any guys ever, they want it to happen to them naturally without them having to do things they normally wouldn't do. They even seem to recognize this is a silly wish and unlikely to happen! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills because I'm able to understand this.

And they're annoyed at people who keep telling them "lol get on Tinder then." It makes sense to me.

Suggesting that OP put in some effort to find their own adventure isn't exactly the same as being told "lol get on Tinder then." The latter would indeed be a dumb suggestion. The former is logical and sensible.

You are not on crazy pills. It makes perfect sense to me as well. People on this thread are being weirdly hostile against OP for having beautiful, improbable dreams about life. Like, is this National Embittered Cynic's Day or something?

Also, I really like your Tinder analogy.

It's perfectly clear to me?

Yeah, this is really clear to me as well.
