54. But what if I really like the way a pattern looks? What am I supposed to do, copy it in a shitty manner and use it? Oh, that'd go over really well with whoever made it, I'm sure. What's the matter with using textures that someone made? They made them to be used. And good textures aren't exactly easy to make. I don't exactly have all manner of grungy shit sitting around to scan, you know. I happen to know my way around photoshop and I know for a fact that I can't create the sort of textures that I love to use. And you know, while most of my icons are my own, what's the matter with using someone else's? What if you seen an icon of someone's and think, "man, that's exactly the sort of icon I want to use." You could go be a douche and duplicate it yourself, but that's just dick. Why not just use theirs?

Because you'd lose your artistic integrity! *WHINES* Musicians should only listen to their own music. Writers shouldn't read anyone else's books. And if you cook food, you'd better not go out to eat at a restaurant.
