I'm on Joshua Day 3 and I'm still pretty convinced there's something funky going on with Rhyme. She's never referred to as either gender in the script. The only thing that indicates either way is the female giggle sound byte she gets. I would find it interesting if someone decided to explore that aspect. It wouldn't be the first time Squeenix did crossdressing.

Are you talking about the English version? In which case, they do say 'she' a few times.

I can't currently find a script online to check either way, but I was reading pretty carefully and I'm near enough convinced they skirted around it - 'them' and 'those guys' (lumped together with Beat) and 'your friend' and 'Rhyme.' No she's or her's. I could very well be wrong, but I'm not starting a new game at this stage to go back and check.

The script online may be a translation, because my game did say she a few times. In fact, that's why I had to pause and double take - if it hadn't been for an explicit mention I would still think Rhyme was a boy. :D
