1. Maybe you simply lost the taste for it? I know that when I've got a new game to play, I more or les stop doing anything else until it's finished. I just want to play it all the time! I even forsake sleep in favour of finding out what's going to happen next. XD

6: He got some rather exciting character development, so it's eith die or become more important, I suppose. I'm mostly interested in Goku right now, though!

36: Umberto Eco, right? I'm just finishing "Focault's Pendulum", and I love it. ♥

50: Actually, I find that community to often be wanky, immature, and too convinced of their own superiority. The idolisation of everything Disney is pretty much compulsory, and disliking a female character will automatically brand you as a fanbrat. They're slightly more lucid than the people they complain about, but not by much.

72: The rather anti-religious Ed is your spiritual inspiration? Oh well.

78: I can't explain my deep and glowing dislike of that character (not Yuuri, the other one). That damn smug smile and superiority really gets on my nerves. He's never wrong, never upset, and never makes a single damn mistake. *fumes with annoyance*

A spiritual atheist? Very... unique. Though being upset enough by a passing comment to start name-calling suggests you're not quite at peace with the world yet.

Agreed, especially with the whole "disliking a female character" thing. It seems as though the members of the community are so eager to jump on anyone who dislikes Kairi because they assume the person is a 13-year old yaoi fanbrat. Disliking a female character =/= being a misogynist yaoi fan. It is possible to dislike a character for other reasons than "getting in the way of the buttsex".

Yeah, it all depends on you reasons for the dislike. I'm not saying there aren't people with bad, misogynistic reasons, but they're hardly as prevalent as some people would make it seem.

Also, not being interested != hate. I mean, I actually don't hate Kairi, or even dislike her. I'm just not very interested in that particular character.

You expressed this better than I ever could have, thank you. Granted, it isn't everyone, but I find myself groaning and/or rolling my eyes at the vast majority of the posters, especially when they feel the need to ~~shit on~~ debate the quality of an author's work. I'll just say there's more than a bit of hypocrisy being thrown around in those cases and leave it at that.

I know that is not the case? Because I have played a couple games beyond what I have been instructed to play and I have gone into the obsessive can't-eat-can't-sleep mode.

If you play some games only because you're instructed to, of course it's not going to be as fun.

I totally agree and I say that being a former member of the comm. I will not hide the fact that alot of the stuff you said there were beyond true.
