9. Good luck on the merch thing. Pretty much at any con, if you're not into Naruto, Bleach, Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts, you won't be able to find anything for merchandise or cosplay. It's very sad. I got a ton of weird looks from people at AnimeBoston this year when I asked if they had any merchandise for series by Fukumoto. XP If it's not on Adult Swim, they won't have it.

Is that so? Well that's a shame. My fandom might be a little easier to find merchandise for since there's so damn much of it (it's a kids show, there's tons of toys and such), and I know Fukumoto's series wouldn't have much. BUT my fandom is still obscure, so really I wouldn't blame sellers for not carrying anything for it considering it most likely wouldn't sell. Sometimes I wish I could get into a ridiculously popular show for once so that I could live the "easy fandom life", so to speak. Instead I feel silly since I often think, "Gee it would be cool to live in Japan so that I could buy stuff from my favorite show!" Luckily I've got a friend who will be on the look out for merchandise for me at Otakon since I won't be present. If he finds nothing, maybe I'll just forget about trying at others.
