That... could be the case, really. If it is, I understand where people are coming from more, but I couldn't help but think that the secret was phrased REALLY CAREFULLY, and whenever I reread it I just see it saying "you girls are reading/writing graphic things with gay guys, but you're not equally into the same things with lesbians, so you must hate women/wish you didn't have a vagina!"

It could just be badly phrased itself (I thought your phrasing was actually good, especially for 1AM XD;), and I kinda hope it is. Because I admit, the fanbrat idiots who go "OMG IT'S A GIRL SMILING AT THAT BOY RAAAAWR SHE'S HORRIBLE AND A SLUT AND MUST DIE COS SHE'S BREAKING UP MY YUMMY GAY MANSEX OTP" make me want to tell them to gtfo fandom because they make the sane slash fans look bad. And I've seen it too much (T-Tsubasa fandom/xxxHolic fandom anyone?), so I can totally agree that THAT is retarded.

No, that's...kinda the feel I got as well. Which. What. I am very much into yaoi/slash/gay whatever, and am a reasonably straight female who's never been attracted to another woman. I don't really care to seek out or write yuri/femmeslash/lesbian whatever because...well, that's not what turns me on. If I was bi, maybe it would, but I still like me some penis, so, yeah.

It's NOT all about the TRUE LOVE and OVERFLOWING EMOTIONS BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE ZOMG. It still involves some physical attraction for me to get into it. I'm totally cool with it existing, and more love for more people, but it's not what gets me off is all :/

Yeah, I can't really see it saying anything else- though it could very well just be REALLY badly phrased, because I've seen that happen before too.

Attitudes like that puzzle me, which is kind of lulzy since I AM bisexual and am fine with gay/lesbian/het/gen and all equally. But I certainly wouldn't suggest that any of my friends who might love yaoi but be kind of squicked by reading lesbian stuff don't want to keep their vaginas. I just assume they're straight. XD Just like the PLENTIFUL amount of guys I know who are just fine and dandy with lesbians but tend to back away slowly when the "mmm gay guys" conversations crop up. XD; It's not everyone's cup of tea.
