I reuse to wear bifocals because I hate them so much but I've tried both a few times and the lined ones were better for me. The gradual ones gave my the worst headaches because I would naturally look at something only to be reminded that I had a different prescription in front of it and I was supposed to slowly aim my eyesight there.

Hrmmmmmmmmm. That *does* sound annoying.

I *have* to do bifocals, because my eyesight sucks, and i can't be taking off my glasses just to read - if i looked up or got up, i'd be blind, and switching off continuously would be a giant pain in my ass.
