Wizard of Oz. Sure, it's not perfect but the story holds up really well and kids today still love it. It's a great family movie.

I would say the same, but about the books. Great kids books.

I can't speak for shortysc22, but I doubt any of us is old enough to have actual nostalgia goggles about The Wizard of Oz. I saw it for the first time when I was 11 and it was still over half a century old at the time. When I was in college, a remastered version was shown at Lincoln Center and I thought it held up amazingly well.

I recently saw it in theaters with my mom and loved it still. I've been watching it since I was a kid.

And when I said kids today, I mean it. My coworker's daughter is three and a half and just watched the Wizard of Oz and can't stop talking about it and imitating it. This kid watches all of the latest Disney releases and the older Disney movies and still loves Wizard of Oz too.

So I mean yeah, I saw it as a child but in the 80s and thought it was great then. (50 years after it was first released)
