I haven't - tbh I try to avoid learning too much about his personal life cause like... I just feel like its gonna be bad in some way or the other and I don't want to think about it for the reasons mentioned in the secret :/

('m assuming from your comment that its abuse tho)

NAYRT

I did some googling and I can't really find anything serious, OP. The worst thing is that he spanked his son once, regretted it and never did it again, and he had an affair that resulted in a daughter he hasn't acknowledged. That's it.

There's been a whole imbroglio surrounding his son's arrest for weed

That was a mess, but not sure how that's Jackie Chan's fault. In the articles I saw, the worst you could say is that he didn't try to use his influence and fame to get his son out of jail faster. Frankly, I think it'd be irresponsible if he did.

This. Maybe if more parents did that, instead of coddling their children, we wouldn't have so many screwed up humans now.

I find it kind of disturbing that you treat never acknowledging his daughter, which he had in affair in which he was cheating on his wife, in an episode he shrugs off as something all men do, in such a casual light.

Uh, where to that other anon shrug it off "as something all men do"?? Reading a bit into it aren't you there nonnie?

'episode he shrugs off as something all men do' as in Jackie Chan does it, not the anon.

I think it's your reading that needs work here.

Cheating on his wife makes him a bad husband. This conversation was specifically about how he treated his children, though. Not acknowledging your kid isn't great, but I don't think it qualifies as abuse.

Nobody said it qualified as abuse. It's certainly not treating them well. The girl's mother was an alcohol abuser herself and he just left the daughter there. Not cool.

Shitty to his wife, yes. Shitty to the daughter? Kind of, but pretty low on the shitty scale. It's a crime of omission, not commission, and nothing's necessarily stopping her from having a perfectly good life without him. It's not on the same level as abuse or something.

It is when the daughter's mom is a known alcoholic????
